とにかく価格を安く提供することが一番だと考えております。そのためにできるだけ新たな部品を購入して使わないようにしています。ですから、大部分は右ハンドル用の部品を加工して再利用しております。日本の他の会社は、まず左ハンドル用の部品を購入して使用することを前提にしていますので、当然部品代がかなりの金額必要になります。その分作業する手間がかからず工賃を低くすることができるでしょうが、合計すればかなり高い金額になるはずです。ですが、当社には他の会社にはない、右ハンドル用の部品を加工して左ハンドルでも使えるようにする技術があります。ですから、他の会社では左ハンドル用の部品のない車種は改装できません。ところが当社では基本的に全車種改装可能なのです。その分手間がかかり作業工賃の掛かるのですが、それもできるだけ安くするように努力して価格を低くしているのです。どうしても必要な中古のラック＆ピニオンだけを探して、購入して左ハンドルで使えるように加工します。

右ハンドルから左ハンドルへ構造変更を行います。当社は、以前より日本製中古車の輸出をしてまいりました。しかしながら、右ハンドル車の輸出だけでは大手資本の輸出会社に対抗する術もなく、限界を感じておりました。そこで世界では左ハンドルの日本製中古車に需要があることを見て、「ハンドル・コンバーション・サービス」という高付加価値戦略に転換することにしました。以前は、苦労して海外でハンドルコンバーションをしておりましたが、やはり全体のコストを考えると、中古車の発生源である、日本で事業を展開することが最善であるという結論に至りました。そこで海外で行っていた作業環境と積み重ねた技術を、日本へ移転させて自社工場を立ち上げるに至りました。本来は、海外のお客様よりご注文いただいた、安価で良質な左ハンドル改造車を供給していくつもりではありますが、日本国内においても、輸出他社の改造依頼に応じていくつもりでもおります。G.A.T.'s original mission was simply the export of RHD Japanese used cars.
